Kitchen magic: A new face behind the stove!

There’s great news again from our “Freizeichen” in Osnabrück: our new chef Sascha has recently started to spoil us daily with fresh, lovingly prepared dishes and brings a great deal of variety to our plates. Our guests are delighted – the feedback is consistently positive!

External visitors are also welcome to enjoy not only the delicious food, but also the inviting atmosphere in the “Freizeichen”. If you’re in a hurry, you can easily take all the dishes with you thanks to our sustainable deposit box.

There’s something new to discover every week on our Instagram account! Our followers decide which “dish of the week” we present, and we share exciting cooking tips and many other culinary highlights. Our theme weeks are particularly varied, such as the European Championship week, in which we present typical national specialties to match the games.

To get to know Sascha, our creative chef, better, we asked him a few interesting questions:

What did you do before KiKxxl?

Before that, I worked as a chef in the Caribbean, in Bermuda to be precise, for a few years. After that, I worked at Gasthof Zittertal for ten years, where I also met Evelyn, who you already know from Freizeichen. Over the years, we were a well-coordinated team in the kitchen! After my time at the Zittertal, I worked briefly in the restaurant at Porta. And now I’m here!

And what are your plans for the Freizeichen?

I’m looking forward to giving free rein to my creativity in the kitchen again. I want to bring my passion for cooking back to the plates – something that was unfortunately not possible at Porta. I’m particularly looking forward to bringing a breath of fresh air and variety into our kitchen!

And how would you describe yourself?

I am a friendly, helpful and warm person. Although I tend to be quiet, I really enjoy working in a team.

What is your first impression of KiKxxl?

There is a really friendly and warm atmosphere here! My start was really pleasant and the short communication channels are super practical. I’m not used to that in large companies and I think it’s just great. The helpfulness of all the employees is enormous and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all personally bit by bit!
