The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous, i.e. we will not be able to identify you from this data. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. You will find detailed information on this in the following Data Protection Policy.

2. Social media
Google+ Plugin

Our website uses features of Google+. Provider is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Recording and sharing of information: Using the Google +1-push button, you can publish information all over the world. Via the Google+-push button, you and other users will receive personalised content from Google and our partners. Google stores both the information that you have provided for +1 content and also information via the site that you have viewed by clicking on +1. Your +1 can appear as references together with your profile name and your photo in Google services, such as in search results or in your Google profile or in other places in the websites and advertisements on the Internet.
Google lists information on your +1 activities in order to improve the Google services for you and others. In order to be able to use the Google+ push button, you require a globally visible, public Google profile, which must at least contain the name chosen for the profile. This name will be used in all Google services. In many cases, this name can also replace another name that you have used with parts of the contents via your Google account. The identity of your Google profile can be displayed to users who know your email address or who have other identifying information on you.
Use of the information recorded: As well as the purposes stated above, the information you provide will be used in accordance with the current Google data protection regulations. Google publishes statistics that may have been compiled on the users’ +1 activities and shares these with users and partners such as the publisher, advertisers or linked websites.

3. Analytical tools and advertising
Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (Google). Provider is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files that are stored on your computer and facilitate analysis of your use of the website. Information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there.
Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation feature on this website. This means that your IP address is first shortened by Google in the member states of the European Union or in other member states of the EEA (European Economic Area) Agreement before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is a full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf this website’s owner, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports about website activities, and provide the website’s operator with further services related to website and Internet usage. Google will not link the IP address transferred by your browser as part of Google Analytics with any other data held by Google.

Browser plugin

You can prevent storage of cookies by appropriately setting your browser software; in this case, however, please note that you might not be able to fully use all functions offered by this website. In addition, you can prevent data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being collected and processed by Google, by downloading and installing a browser plugin from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Contract data processing

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising programme from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (‘Google’).
In the context of Google AdWords we use the so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that your Internet browser stores on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. Should the user visit certain pages of the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can tell that the user clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that personally identifies users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt out of this by easily disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie by changing your browser settings. They are then not included in the conversion tracking statistics.
‘Conversion cookies’ are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.
For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, see the Google Privacy Policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.
You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. If a cookie is deactivated, the functionality of the website may be restricted.

Facebook Pixel

Our website uses the visitor action pixel of Facebook, Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (‘Facebook’) for conversion measurement.
These allow the behaviour of site visitors to be tracked after they click on a Facebook ad to reach the provider’s website. This allows an analysis of the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes and their future optimisation.
The data collected is anonymous for us as operators of this website and we cannot use it to draw any conclusions about our users’ identities. However, the data are stored and processed by Facebook, which may make a connection to your Facebook profile and which may use the data for its own advertising purposes, as stipulated in the Facebook privacy policy Facebook Data Policy Guidelines. This will allow Facebook to display ads both on Facebook and on third-party sites. We have no control over how this data is used.
Please see Facebook’s privacy policy for more information on how we protect your privacy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
You can also use the remarketing function ‘Custom Audiences’ in the ‘Settings for Advertisements’ section under https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen deactivate. To do so, you will first need to log into Facebook.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can opt out of usage-based advertising from Facebook on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.

This website uses social plugins (‘plugins’) provided by the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (‘Facebook’). The plugins are identified by the Facebook logo or the addition ‘Facebook Social Plugin’. When you visit a page on our website that contains such a social plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transferred from Facebook directly to your browser, which then embeds it into the website. By integrating the plugin, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding page our website. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can link the visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example, by pressing the Like button or writing a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted from your browser directly to Facebook and stored there. The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of your data by Facebook and your rights and setting options for the protection of your privacy can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy. If you do not want Facebook to collect data about you via our website, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.

Bing Universal Event Tracking (UET)

Data is collected and stored on our website using Bing Ads technologies, from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms. This is a service provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA. This service enables us to track the activities of users on our website if they have reached our website via ads from Bing Ads. If you access our website through such an ad, a cookie is placed on your computer. A Bing UET tag is integrated on our website. This is a code that, in conjunction with the cookie, stores certain non-personal information about your use of the website. This includes, among other things, the length of time spent on the website, which areas of the website were accessed and via which advertisement the users arrived at the website. Information about your identity is not collected.
The information collected is transferred to Microsoft servers in the USA and stored there for a maximum of 180 days. You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website, as well as the processing of this data, by deactivating the setting of cookies. Under certain circumstances, this may restrict the functionality of the website.
In addition, Microsoft may be able to track your usage behaviour across multiple electronic devices through cross-device tracking, which enables Microsoft to display personalised advertising on or within Microsoft websites and apps. You can disable this behaviour at http://choice.microsoft.com/en-en/opt-out.
For more information about Bing’s analytics services, please visit the Bing Ads website (https://help.bingads.microsoft.com/#apex/3/en/53056/2). For more information about Microsoft and Bing privacy, please see Microsoft’s privacy policy (https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-GB/privacystatement).

Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing function service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). This function is used to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors as part of the Google advertising network. The website visitor’s browser saves so-called ‘cookies’, text files that are stored on your computer and which make it possible to recognise the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. Advertisements can then be presented to the visitor on these pages that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed on websites that use Google’s remarketing function. According to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process.
However, if you do not wish to use Google’s remarketing function, you can deactivate it by making the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp. Further information on Google Remarketing and Google’s privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.
