Nicolai Brüggenwerth joined the KIKXXL team as the new sales manager a few weeks ago and can already look back on an intense introductory phase. We asked him to share his perspective on how his first few weeks at KIKXXL have been, what impressions have made an impact on him, and where he wants to take the sales department.
“Really good so far,” is how Nicolai sums up his first few weeks, and he means that quite literally. From the very beginning, he has felt that people listen to him openly, are patient with him, and expressly welcome his questions. He particularly highlights the break room and the cafeteria as positive aspects: the variety and quality of the food available on site are a clear added value for him and not something to be taken for granted. Added to this is the direct, eye-level communication, which makes it easier for him to quickly settle in and build trust.
During the first seven weeks, Osnabrück was a kind of “first home” for Nicolai: he was there four days a week, visited the Christmas market, got his first impressions of the city and its surroundings, and made numerous personal contacts within the team. “Lots of new input that I still have to process,” is how he describes this introduction, which was characterized by new processes, structures, and people. At the same time, his place of work gradually shifted to working from home, a model that KIKXXL consciously embraces in order to combine team building with flexible, location-independent work.
Nicolai sees his role as an opportunity to take KIKXXL even further forward in sales, precisely because the company is already in a strong position. “I want to make KiKxxl even more successful in sales than we already are today,” he says of his goal. To achieve this, he wants to show even more clearly what makes KIKXXL special: the strong performance of our colleagues on the line, which is reflected in service and sales benchmarks. His claim: “No relevant inquiry or tender should pass us by.” Sales is not a “one-man show,” but also teamwork. “I am very grateful that my team and other colleagues from the departments who know KIKXXL like the back of their hand are making it so easy for me to get started,” says Nicolai.
Nicolai put this approach into practice right from the start. During his 3.5-day visit to our locations in Kosovo, he not only got to know a different working culture, but also experienced the international strength of KIKXXL. Important events are coming up in the next few weeks, including E-World in Essen and CCW in Berlin, as well as talks with several large companies.
In addition to traditional sales topics, Nicolai also focuses on AI. “These solutions can support and relieve us all in the future,” he says. He is referring to intelligent tools that make processes more efficient, improve service quality, and at the same time make everyday work easier. For KIKXXL, this means using technology in a targeted manner to provide real support for people and customers.
Of course, it takes time to fully settle in. “I’m sure I’ll need a few more weeks to get to know all the processes and specifics,” Nicolai says openly. At the same time, he is looking ahead with confidence.
With Nicolai Brüggenwerth, KIKXXL has gained a sales manager who combines values, team spirit, and clear strategies. His start shows that KIKXXL is on the right track and will become even stronger together
